Parklet Extension
In November 2020, car spaces were converted into outdoor dining areas to create twelve parklets along Glenferrie Hawthorn. At the end of March 2021 five of these were removed and in August 2021 one more was removed.
After lockdown 4.0 in May-June 2021, the City of Boroondara extend the six remaining parklets until 30 September 2021 after “consultation with traders, feedback from the community and directives from VicRoads and the Victorian Government”.
In view of lockdown 6.0, City of Boroondara are yet to provide comment on further extension or reintroduction of parklets for summer 2021/22.
