2023 Glenferrie Festival

On Sunday 5 March 2023, Glenferrie Road will once again be transformed into a place of celebration for the annual Glenferrie Festival. Hosted by the Glenferrie Traders Association (GTA), and organised with the assistance of a newly appointed events manager, the event will run from 11am to 5pm. This year’s festivities will include a variety of attractions, with up to 14 carnival rides, a petting zoo featuring 35 animals, local food and goods vendors and community groups as well as live entertainment. This event is open to one and all, young and old, visitors and locals.

For those looking forward to the rides, an unlimited early bird pass can be purchased for $18. These passes can be obtained at: www.glenferriefestival.com.au Early bird passes must be purchased no later than 5pm Saturday 4 March. The unlimited ride wristbands can be collected on the day of the festival from the ride ticket sales collection marquee near Bowen Street. Ride passes will also be available on the day for $25, so get in early to save.

For the festival, Glenferrie Road (between Barkers & Burwood Roads) will be closed to traffic on Sunday 5 March from 5am to 7pm. All roads leading onto Glenferrie Road in the festival precinct will be closed at the Glenferrie Road intersection between these times. Due to the road closure, the route 16 Tram (Melbourne University to Cotham Road Kew, via St Kilda) will be disrupted. Bus replacement services from Kooyong Station to Cotham Road will be available. Bus stops will be positioned at the northern entry to the festival (Cnr Barkers and Glenferrie Roads) and southern end of the festival (Burwood and Glenferrie Roads).
