2021-2022 Budget Update
Updated: Dec 8, 2021
The proposed 2021-22 City of Boroondara budget was adopted on Monday 28 June. According to the Council the budget "reflects the efficient and effective allocation of resources having regard to the objectives, roles and functions of Council".
Adjustments made from the proposed to the adopted budget resulted in a 365% increase in the underlying operating result, a measure that excludes capital income used to cover operating expenses, to a deficit of $3.29 million.
The Glenferrie community is looking forward to the many projects planned for this year including Glenferrie Road Placemaking Project, refurbishment works at the Hawthorn RSL, and the highly anticipated feasibility study for the Michael Tuck Stand. "We welcome the feasibility study as an important first step in getting the Tuck Stand fit for purpose, and the three clubs [Hawthorn Amateur Football Club, Hawthorn Citz Football Club, and Hawthorn Auskick] are looking forward to participating" said Pat Clancy, vice-president of Hawthorn Amateur Football Club.
