Coming Up: Glenferrie Festival

Dancers at Glenferrie Festival, 2019.

The Glenferrie Festival is back for another year of fun for locals, traders, and visitors alike. The 2020 festival will be held on Sunday 1st March from 11am to 5pm.

Festival organisers, the Glenferrie Traders Association (GTA), have planned rides, entertainment, and attractions including a deconstructed parade, classic car show, and live music as well as stalls from local Glenferrie Hawthorn and outside traders.

This year, the GTA are aiming to minimise waste produced by the festival. Traders are prohibited from distributing plastic bags, plastic straws, balloons and polystyrene products. Stall-holders have been asked to avoid handing out flyers and keep packaging to a minimum. Visitors to the festival could bring their own water bottles, re-usable cups, plates, cutlery and straws to help reduce waste.

More information can be found on the Glenferrie Festival website at glenferriefestival.com.au, including detailed information for stall-holders. On 20 February the stall-holder positions will be published.
