E-Waste Collection Banks

Felicity from Hawthorn Arts Centre disposing e-waste at the Arts Centre collection bank located at the east entrance.

The Hawthorn Arts Centre in Glenferrie Hawthorn has one of Boroondara's six e-waste collection banks that have been introduced since 1 July 2019, when Victoria banned all electronic waste (e-waste) from being disposed of in regular waste. E-waste includes telecommunication equipment, batteries, televisions, computers, light bulbs and most other things with a plug or power supply.

At the e-waste collection banks, you can dispose small items that are no bigger than your average laptop. At the Boroondara Recycling and Waste Centre located at 648 Riversdale Road, Camberwell, you can dispose any of your e-waste free of charge.
