Hawthorn is now home to five Hawthorn Football Club (HFC) themed signal cabinets, with four right here in Glenferrie Hawthorn.

VicRoads explains that "Traffic signal cabinets house the electronic equipment which provides the management and operation for each traffic signal and the main reason for painting these cabinets is to deter graffiti and to beautify local communities."

Painted by Justine McAllister, each signal cabinet features a number in honour of past and present HFC players. #2 for Graham Arthur and Jarryd Roughead, #5 for Peter Crimmins and Sam Mitchell, #9 for Rover Dipierdominico and Shane Crawford, #26 for Peter Hudson and Liam Shiels and #24 for Peter Knights and Ben Stratton.

Since 2016, the HFC has also commissioned the changing Hawks murals on the exterior wall of the Bank of Melbourne on the corner of Linda Cres and Glenferrie Rd.
