A Spooky Success

If you walked down Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn on Tuesday 31 October you no doubt saw the many groups of children, and some adults, in spooky, funny or unique costumes. Trick or treaters were darting from shop to shop looking to score treats. A large orange X clearly marked participating shops who had buckets of lollies, supplied by the Glenferrie Traders Association, to share with all the locals.

The turnout was a huge success with some shops running out of their treats within the first hour. Many shops were decorated inside and out and offered more than just standard lollies inside; Stranger Things Emporium had a face painting station, El Churro Café - Spanish Doughnuts offered a sampler of their delicious churros and at Haigh's Chocolates you could collect their classic pastilles.
