What's Blossoming in Glenferrie

Spring brings the beginning of the warmer weather and our local gardens and parks come into bloom with colour and new life. Around Glenferrie Hawthorn the magnolias, camellias golden wattles and fruit tree blossom’s, brighten up those rainy days. The Glenferrie Traders Association plan to rejuvenate the local street planter boxes, after looking tired, drab and growing weeds through winter.

With Father’s Day on Sunday 3, September kicks off the season with the shops in Glenferrie Hawthorn able to satisfy any of dad’s gift needs. Then there is the Spring Racing Carnival, September to November with Melbourne Cup on Tuesday 7th November 2017. Glenferrie Hawthorn will get into the spirit of the Spring Races and display its life size horses. If you're getting ready for the races then your local retailers can certainly help with spring fashion frocks, suites, shoes, pampering, beverages, delicious foods and even fresh flower crowns to order from Stranger Things Emporium and Troubadour Flowers. It's a great time of year when we come out of winter hibernation, shed some layers, lighten and brighten up.
